We are working on some exciting new changes to our AlwaysShopping^TM site. Our first change is the introduction of a Web Log.

As you may recall, we used to publish an email newsletter about online shopping. The world of ecommerce has changed a lot since then and sadly the SPAM problem has made our email boxes almost unusable. We think that "blogging" provides a better solution for both the publisher and the reader. We will be publishing shopping-related news along with updates about this site.

If you are unfamiliar with web logs, this means that a content management program is used to author articles and to publish them in a standard format. Older articles will automatically drop off of the front page, but will remain available in the archives. There are many programs available that will alert the user of updates to sites of interest.

We are very excited to be joining the "Blogging" community. With this technology we will be better able to keep our site fresh and to help our visitors find new or timely articles.

Our news is powered by BlogWorks XML , which we found very easy to set up on our site. In addition to helping us to manage our news on our own site, BlogWorks also notifies major "Blogging" sites WebLogs.com and Blo.gs when we update our web log. BlogWorks will also produce an XML data feed that will let us syndicate our news to users of RSS news readers.
